HELENE PONS, née Hèlène Christoforovna Wermicheva, Broadway designer and costumer from 1926 to 1965.
Helene Pons combined the soul of an artist with the hands and mind of a craftswoman. Born in Tiflis (Georgia) in 1898 (or 1897), she died in Rome, April 1990.
Helene Pons created costumes for the golden years of Broadway, she was author of “The story ov Vanya”, Vicking Press 1963.
